Take Positive Action

Life is 10% what you make it, and 90% how you take it. – Irving Berlin

Change is at the heart of all things. We are constantly planning for what’s up ahead, using information from what’s behind. But Past and Future are constructed atop the timeless flowing NOW. Your responses to the infinite dynamic moment determines your current experience. Knowledge prepares you for the unknown, but you are not helplessly floating downriver to your extinction. The human will holds the wheel, and wisdom lights the way.

With that precious ten percent, and sometimes a bit more, we steer our lives. Our very lifeblood channels our aspirations down to our fingertips praying to divine a clue as to what’s just up ahead. Adaptation to the actual situation is critical to success. Planning, plotting, gaming it out are all just illusions – mirages of reflections and shadows. Progress requires flexibility. Do not be rigid and unyielding when meeting the unexpected. As Einstein said, “the measure of intelligence is the ability to change”.

A change in perspective often leads to achievement of ones aims. Feelings of foreboding must be transformed into excitement and anticipation. See the challenges as opportunities. Act positively whether you succeed or not. With confident curiosity lean into the wind and go with the flow. Let your thoughts be pliant and supple. Do not hold tight to unrequited wants and unrealized schemes. Accept what you cannot change. Lift the veil and see what is real.

Seek from the Universe what is genuine and true, and you cannot fail. Your faithful efforts are all that is needed. The honorable try will ring in your heart like a silver bell. Bolster your courage. Do not sacrifice your integrity. Discover your true direction and live happily in the everlasting moment. The rest of your life is waiting.
