Every man gives his life for what he believes. Every woman gives her life for what she believes. Sometimes people believe in little or nothing, and so they give their lives to little or nothing. One life is all we have, and we live it as we believe in living it…and then it’s gone. – Joan of Arc
We all have our own personal beliefs about life. Experience has taught us many lessons. Teachers and spiritual leaders have shown us many paths to follow. As we live our lives, there are some principles, some beliefs which we will never sacrifice. These form our spiritual core. For some, these core beliefs are religious, for others they are based on immutable moral principles, and for others their fundamental faith is rooted in humanity, art, music, philosophy…
All of us walk our own paths through life. Each of us is unique with singular experiences. At times we planned to go one way but found another more to our liking, or we were forced to adjust along our way. In the end, all our accumulated steps and experiences have brought us here. Now, our beliefs must strengthen our resolve. We have to live as we believe.
Some of our loved ones have been laid low by this scurrilous virus. We pray their lives are not sacrificed in this struggle. My dad is at home now living as he has always lived – determinedly. Each of my marvelous children defeated the virus and are living with graceful hearts full of love. To all out there who are anxious about their loved ones, or are worried about their future – we all walk that path together right now. Know that our beliefs will be strengthened by this odyssey.
Believe that a new future is blooming. Have faith our souls will be renewed through this struggle. Our spirits will be lifted by one another if we soften our hearts further and accept others for who they are. Consider the principles of your personal faith; strengthen your compassion for those you love, and for those you have never met. We truly are all in this together. We can triumph and create a better world. WE GOT THIS! Peace and Love.
