Born from this World – a poem

The tides are in our veins, we still mirror the stars, life is your child, but there is in me
Older and harder than life and more impartial, the eye that watched before there was an ocean. –
Robinson Jeffers

You Didn’t Come Into this World

You Came Out of this World

Life cycles through channels of renewal and decay

The all is within everything

And everything is within us all

The beginning and the end are one

As we are one with eternity

You didn’t awaken in this world

You are awakened by this world

There is no separation between man and nature

Nature is a part of every fiber, every sinew

Man should walk within nature’s cathedrals and sepulchers

With reverence and respect, and without malice

Our minds’ are the pivots of perception

Spinning outward dissipates

Turning inward accumulates

The vital spirit melds with grace

Boundless blessings radiate love

Follow the way that is true to you

Honor the world that is parent to you

Bless life with joy’s enduring light

Cherish each breath of earthly paradise
