Color Our World with Joy

We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. – Martin Luther King Jr

Today, painted with the first blush of angel blue,

Lights the horizon with cheery hope.

A joyous sparkling chorus

Rises from the fading shadows.

As a sweet breeze sweeps away the gloom,

The long dark night is coming to an end.

The promise of a new world

Lifts up the spirits of millions.

Great unknown mountains and

Broad tempest tossed seas

Await our best efforts.

Seize hope with both hands.

Gather up the promise of now.

Fashion the golden aspirations of today

Into bridges across the dark chasms of yesterday.

May the blessings in your life

Be as plentiful as the stars;

And the positive light of hope

Brighten your life forever.
